Evidence from the paper
"for MgO it implies the following values of K0(T0 = 298.15 K) and b in eqn. (1): K0(T0) = (161.5 ± 0.6) GPa, b = (−2.359 ± 0.003) × 10−6 m3 mol−1 ... The value of K' is 4.769 ± 0.005 for MgO at ambient conditions, for which Vm0(T0 = 298.15 K) = 11.25 × 10−6 m3 mol−1 (Robie et al.), and follows from eqns. (24) and (19) for constant b."
Additional notes
b parameter
(-2.359 ± 0.003) × 10−6 m3 mol−1
Kpp
K'' = -0.0295 ± 0.0001 GPa−1 at ambient conditions
V0 source
Robie et al. (ref. 28); Table 1 lists V_m^0 = 11.2507 cm3 and K0 = 161.50 GPa at 300 K
note
K' derived from K' = -V_m/b, not fitted directly to compression data; validated against static and shock compression data up to 225 GPa
