Ferropericlase

(Mg0.75,Fe0.25)O

third-order Birch-Murnaghan · Original · 2011

Why this differs from similar rows?

V0/K_T0 correspond to the high-spin (HS) ferropericlase state, with V0 fixed in the fit; sibling row is the low-spin (LS) state with a different V0/K_T0 (V0 not fixed there).

Evidence from the paper

A third order isothermal Birch-Murnaghan EoS with a fixed K'0 = 4 has been used to fit the P-V data at 300 K to derive the unit cell volume, V0, and isothermal bulk modulus, KT0, yielding: V0 = 76.34 (±0.01) Å3 (fixed) and KT0 = 162 (±1) GPa for the HS state
